FINALLY POSTING MEMBERS AND THEIR FILMS!
Finally we are going to begin posting films and crew information for people to check out. As you can see I add 3 new tabs to the top of the page. After you are done reading this and you want you're info to be posted please download the required form fill it out and send it to Bobby Bishop, insf_bishop@hotmail.com
"Download Our Forms" "Films In Production" and "Need Crew?"
I want feedback on how you all feel about the names for the buttons but for now these are three titles of the most important pages on this site. These pages will allow you to post a film you are making for others to see and offer help with or for you to post yourself so other will find you and ask for your help. Let's go through the pages:
1. Download Our Forms
For the safety of our members I always want to be sure that the student making a film or any crew working on a student film is legitimate. So when anyone joins they must "Download Our Fomrs" so they can fill out the appropriate informtion sheets.
A. General Information Sheet: This sheet is a basic information sheet. It should be filled out and sent to Bobby Bishop at insf_bishop@hotmail.com or given to him by any other means possible. This Information sheet asks for things like name, school, career title, etc.
B. Making A Film Sheet: This sheet is for students who are trying to find help for one of their films. So the forms asks for a synopsis of you're film, crew you need, shooting days, etc. We have you fill this shee out to make sure your movie is not only legitimate but we also want to make sure the film you are making is appropriate enough for our student members to work on it (appropriate meaning you aren't making a 1 minute video for you tube so you and you're buddies can laugh about it later, or you're not taking advantage of our help and make one of our members film a family event for you without pay, or you're not going to making a hardcore porn and you need some actors. All these are examples of inappropriate ways to use INSF.) So fill it out and send it to Bobby at his email insf_bishop@hotmail.com or give it to him in person, so he can post your movie up on our NIng page.
C. Working On A Film Sheet: This sheet is basically to see what it is you do and how much experience you have in doing whatever it is you do. So if you're an actor we want to see how much experience in acting you have. We also want to know what you're availibility to shoot is, so our filmmakers can know what days are going to be good for you to act or edit or whatever it is you do. So fill it out and send it to Bobby at his email insf_bishop@hotmail.com or give it to him in person, so he can post your information up on our NIng page.
D. Rating System: After you have worked on a film or had someone work on your film we like to see how it all went. So we have people give us a rating for the experience they had by writing a short description or rating it 1-5 or doing both. This is going to help us recognize our more responsible members and keep track of everyones efforts. So fill it out and send it to Bobby at his email insf_bishop@hotmail.com or give it to him in person.
2. Films in Production
We will be posting films that our members need help with on our INSF Ning page. Before we can post it you but fill ou the "Making A Film Sheet". So if you are looking for a film to work on this is the page to check out.
3. Need A Crew?
We will posting crew (actors, editors, writers, etc.) on our INSF page. Before we can post you on our "Need A Crew?" page you will have to fill out the "Working On A Film Sheet". So if you are a filmmaker looking for crew this is the page to check out.
Once you find someone you want to ask to work on your film or you find a film you want to work on you always must go through the INSF President Bobby Bishop, email him at insf_bishop@hotmail.com or talk to him in person. This way he can confirm with the crew being requested or the filmmakers requesting that the people that want to work with them are safe to work with. To Bobby the most important part of the group is keeping it safe for all members.
